Roland X. Tiemann graduated from Sacramento State University, California with a degree in the Biological Sciences and obtained his law degree from Lincoln Law School, Sacramento. Mr. Tiemann has aggressively represented 1000’s of people arrested for felony and misdemeanor offenses with a special emphasis on DUI, domestic violence, drug, and gun offenses.

Mr. Tiemann’s scientific background in biochemistry, microbiology, and physiology sets him apart from other attorneys because he is an expert in the science behind the metabolism of alcohol or drugs and the problems associated with breath and blood testing methods. Mr. Tiemann is a certified breath test operator, received 40 hours of analytical training from Axion Labs in Forensic Chromatography, is a qualified Field Sobriety Test Instructor, and completed the Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) course overview program. These certifications and training allow him to aggressively challenge police officers and government experts in drug and alcohol related cases.

Kelsey Berezin is Tiemann Defense’s Senior Managing Attorney and handles all case management and litigation issues. She began working with Tiemann Defense in 2015 and has over 15 years of criminal defense experience. Over the years, Mrs. Berezin has negotiated thousands of favorable resolutions for clients including reduced punishment, reduced charges, and dismissals.

Mrs. Berezin graduated from California State University, Chico, majoring in Political Science with an emphasis in Legal Studies. Following her graduation from Chico State, she attended Lincoln Law School in Sacramento. Before joining Tiemann Defense, Mrs. Berezin worked at the Sacramento County Public Defender’s Office.

In her capacity as senior managing attorney, Mrs. Berezin will contact you to review the police reports, discuss defenses and various case resolutions including jury trial, and determine if additional investigation, discovery, or case mitigation is needed to help resolve your case. Mrs. Berezin will communicate directly with the prosecutor, and in some cases the judge, to achieve the best possible outcome for you.

Michael Berezin is Tiemann Defense’s Managing Litigation attorney and handles all firm related litigation including in-person court hearings and trials. Mr. Berezin earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Houston before relocating to California. He received his Juris Doctor degree from Lincoln Law School of Sacramento and began his legal career in civil litigation. He is a passionate proponent of your Constitutional rights and works diligently to ensure those rights are protected in every stage of your case. This dedication to individual rights and liberties is what led him to criminal defense and what drives his tenacious work ethic to help you obtain the best resolution in the case.

Aaron Cadiz is a former Deputy District Attorney for the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office. During his time at the DA’s office, he gained invaluable trial and motion experience, especially in the field of DUI and serious felony offenses. Mr. Cadiz has personally handled hundreds of misdemeanor and felony criminal cases including jury trials.

In his position as lead litigation attorney, Mr. Cadiz will contact you to review police reports, discuss various case resolutions, including jury trial, and determine if additional investigation, discovery, or case mitigation is needed to help resolve your case. Mr. Cadiz will communicate directly with the prosecutor, and in some cases, the judge, to achieve the best possible outcome for you.

Mr. Bob is a former Placer County Public Defender.  He received his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from California State University, Sacramento and his Juris Doctorate from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law.

During his time at the Public Defender’s office, Mr. Bob handled thousands of cases and gained valuable trial experience including misdemeanors, DUIs, serious felonies, and homicide.  Known for his meticulous preparation and strategic advocacy, Mr. Bob is highly proficient in complex legal research, drafting persuasive motions, arguing contested hearings, and negotiating favorable plea agreements.  His commitment to securing just outcomes for his clients extends to alternatives to incarceration including placement in Mental Health and Military Diversion programs.
